Building Begumpura Conference Honours Dr. Burnad Fatima Natesan

The “Building Begumpura” conference focused on the mental health challenges faced by Dalit communities and promoted anti-caste practices. It was organized by The Blue Dawn along with the National Federation of Dalit Women.

During the event an award was presented to Dr. Burnad Fatima Natesan, founder of SRED, in recognition of her long-standing and inspiring contributions to Dalit movements and social empowerment. The award was received on her behalf by Shanthi and Saraswathi, acknowledging her continued dedication to uplifting marginalized communities.
