Vaasikkalaam Vaanga Library was inaugurated in Kallaru

A library titled “Vaasikkalaam Vaanga” was inaugurated in Kallaru, near Arakkonam, by the Society for Rural Education Development to benefit underprivileged students, youth, women, and elderly people in the village. The event was presided over by Dr. Burnad Fathima, founder of SRED, and coordinated by Shanthi, who welcomed the gathering.


In a heartwarming moment, children from nearby villages such as Pudhukesavaram, Puliyamangalam, Perumoochi, and Kallaru cut the inauguration ribbon and opened the library. after, the same children were seen joyfully reading books, bringing the space to curiosity and excitement.




During the occasion, fruits and guava leaf tea were served to all participants. Guests including educators and social activists shared inspiring thoughts about the importance of library and the transformative power of reading habits. They emphasized how books can open doors to knowledge and opportunity.














Several coordinators and community members actively participated in the event, making it a meaningful and memorable gathering. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by coordinator Saraswathi.
