Thirty women from Anai Kattaputhur village, Arakkonam Taluk, Ranipet District, formed three committees and requested three acres of land for organic farming and sapling plantation. We approached the Panchayat Chairman, who advised them to submit a petition through the Village Administrative Officer to the Tahsildar. After submitting the petition, the Tahsildar, no action on our petition. Later, former Panchayat leader and VAO showed a land that was uneven and covered with thorns and bushes, and when asked to show the original survey land, a different location was shown. Despite these issues, Mr. Sukumar, a natural farmer conducted natural fertilizer training at the site, and the women actively participated and cleared about 200 meters of the three-acre land for the program.
