Awareness building on CEDAW and about Right to Information Act, 2005

The training was organized with rural women on CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women). Many young women from villages joined the program to know about CEDAW for the first time.

Young and Experienced advocates, and activists was the resource who explained about the convention and how india ratified and also explained about Optional Protocol.

In the end, the Program was very participatory by conducting a quiz program to see how CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women) was understood and could be utilized in our daily life. Small gifts were given to those who participated in the Quiz.

RTI (Right to Information Act,2005) was explained, how to approach the state to get information that is needed.
