Flood Relief work by SRED and PANAP

The villages of Anaikattupattur, Parameswaramangalam in Ranipet district and Veeraraghavapuram in Tiruvallur district were severely affected by Cyclone Ditwah. In these areas, Dalit and tribal (Irular) communities have been facing extreme hardship, as many of their houses have no proper roofing, leaving them exposed to continuous rain. The floors of their homes remain wet, and floodwater has entered both the streets and houses, making it difficult for people to step outside or go to work. Instead, families are struggling without food and are forced to endure cold and hunger. Considering this situation, PANAP and SRED organizations provided flood relief support by distributing blankets to the affected people, offering some comfort to those suffering in these harsh conditions.
