In Tamil Nadu, India, the Tamil Nadu Dalit Women's Movement and the Society for Rural Education mounted a mobilization of its women and youth members collectively calling for the Dalit's right to land, food, and social justice.
Among their urgent calls are the need for genuine land reform that must include the rights and welfare of Dalits; resist massive agricultural land use conversions; junk WTO agreements, and the fight for the peoples' land against

corporate land-grabbing.
Tamil Nadu Dalit women and children are organized through the work of SRED which is a society established in 1979 that prioritizes the economic and political emancipation of Dalits in South India. Their goal is to uplift Dalit women through collective organizing and sustainable agriculture-based work, to fight against caste-based discrimination in Indian society. This activity is part of a series of public fora organized by the Tamil Nadu Dalit Women's Movement and SRED toward the March 29, 2025, Day of the Landless—a day commemorated by anti-imperialists and anti-feudal mass-based organizations calling for urgent genuine agrarian reform, land to the tillers, food systems and climate justice. It will be sustained by other educational activities including the issues of farmers, peasants, fisherfolk, indigenous peoples, and rural women and children.
This activity is in line with the APC's campaign for the March 29 Day of the Landless, in cooperation with the International League of Peoples Struggle - ILPS Commission 6 , @People's Coalition on Food Sovereignty - Global, and PAN Asia Pacific - PANAP.
