Tamil Nadu Dalit Women’s movement released a book written by Dr. Burnad Fathima Natesan called “Nan Kanda Veeranganaigal”.  About 26 women and men leaders from various movements participated at Kallaru and spoke about the 26 Veeranganaigal whose struggles were documented, and the book was distributed to 70 people who attended the program. Each guest speaker spoke about women leaders and highlighted the issues through the movements the women leaders have taken up.  Dalit women leaders fought for land reclamation, housing, untouchability, caste and gender-based violence, honor killing, and domestic violence.  The book was freely distributed to all those who participated.
