Capacity Building Program among School Children Kaverirajapuram

SRED organized a Capacity Building Program in September 2025. The special speaker was Ms. Nivethitha, a member of Tamil Nadu Iyarkai Velan Koottamaippu (TNIVK).

In her address, she emphasized the importance of using non-pesticide products. She highlighted that while purchasing items from shops, consumers should carefully read the ingredients listed on the packets. She advised participants to include millets in their diet and avoid packet-based junk food.

She also encouraged people to reflect on their daily habits, such as the use of chemical shampoos and consider natural alternatives instead. Further, she said to promote local foods over packaged ones, explaining that by supporting local markets, we also support the livelihoods of farmers and producers.
